Day 1 - Welcome and Opening Ceremony

Family sign in and receive lanyards, programmes, and event information. Families connect and settle in

Formal welcome to all family from near and far. Opening prayer, acknowledgement of our founding members and the official naming of Ngati Ingatu, and recognition of our elders

Each puna group will set up their space for a 20‑minute cultural workshop – whether it's dancing, singing, weaving, cooking or something else they'd like to share – and rehearse their cultural performance based on our theme and celebrations. Family representatives will also prepare 20‑minute presentations on their family genealogy lines

Day 2 - Cultural Heritage Day

Each puna shares their talents and skills with the whole tribe. Puna groups: Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Raro/Tahiti, Wellington, and Auckland.
Day 3 - Sports and Games

Full day of friendly competition for all ages. This may include touch rugby, netball, volleyball, sack races, three-legged races, and traditional Cook Islands games. Families compete within same generations, across mixed generations, and alongside everyone else

Day 4 - Farewell and Closing Ceremony

Family come together for a morning church service. Spiritual reflection and thanksgiving for our time together

Acknowledgement of all who have shared their stories, talents, and time. Recognition of committee and volunteers. Announcement of hosts for the next reunion. Closing remarks
